Preparation work is done!
Tomorrow the renovation of our living room will start. So it had to be cleared.
Well it is amazing how many furniture fits is in one living room. All had to be removed because the parquet will be first sanded and then greyed! Now it looks more orange which doesn’t fit with our furniture!
After that some plaster work will be done and everything will be painted again.
I do expect that the works will take 2 weeks!
For sure during the first week the living room will be forbidden territory!
So we will be living in the kitchen and bed rooms!
I was also amazed how many books do fit in one book store!
Most of them are mine rangin from thrillers to biographies! I do love to read and my wife also. After the move 2 years ago more than 100 books are still in banana boxes!
Now we almost read everything on the Ipads, which saves a lot of trees!

Reading books is a great habit. Beside many other benefits, It is improving your vision and imagination. I read more eBooks lately but it is not same when you don't feel smell of the paper :-)
We are also switching more and more to ebooks. But like you said, nothing beats reading an own book! It is just not the same. Also for the paper we do have a digital subscription, except on Saturdays when it come on paper!
Renovation work can be SO disruptive, even if the result will be beautiful!
And you are going to sand the floor for refinishing... I hope you can keep the dust contained; it seems to go absolutely everywhere.
