Write Your Story
Our culture treats many types of changes as positive signs of growth, when someone meets you for the first time, it asks you some key questions, such as what do you study? or what is your job ?, If you answer Doctor, automatically assume that you are well and you are happy, if instead you respond unemployed, they often believe otherwise.
This is not bad, I know many people, whom I love and respect, who have followed this formula, and in fact are happy and successful, but I also know people, who have a great education and a fantastic job, but who are not happy, they leave directly from the university, they take an exhausting job, they feel stressed, tired, in short they burn after a few years, and in the end they wonder if they have chosen the wrong career.
It is not only in the workplace, someone can ask you about your personal life, are you married or single? If you answer the first implies that you are happy, the second, maybe not, of the children, if you have some, you can assume that You are happy, if you are older and you do not have any, then you worry that your biological clock is working. There is a story that many of us have told us is the pattern for a successful life, something like this, be a good student, study hard, get a practical degree with a lot of income potential, get a good job, marry, have children, retire, and enjoy.
If you do not like your story, write it again, be a good author, take a lot of trial and error, try other things, your story does not end here, it will continue to grow and change, have the feeling that your story will be developed to be so unique and adventurous as you want, no matter what someone tells you, you are in charge of your own story, it does not matter if it is a traditional story or something more varied, it does not matter if the people around you approve or disapprove your work or your relationship .
