Traveling on the height of the Carpathian Mountains Romania

Hello everyone. Today I will present you a small trip to the Carpathian Mountains of Romania with which we pride, in all over the world, with their beauty.

Today we are celebrating 15 years since our marriage, so we decided to make a small trip to the places where we meting, in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania.

We chose the place where we will go, so in the morning at 6.00, we start going to that place together with our eight-year-old girl, but also with my brother-in-law who will guide us on our way through the mountains.
The first stop after 2 hours of walking was the city of Sinaia, from where we took another 2 people with us to make the group bigger. Everyone knows that more people enjoy more fun.

The road to the mountains was heavy enough for me because I never drove on mountain roads.

But I did quite well and after another hour of driving the car, we reached the first mountain destination - Lake Bolboci a super lake in the middle of the mountains.
Lake Bolboci, the largest lake in the Bucegi Mountains, has an impressive history, but few know that the bottom of the lake was in the past the meeting area of the shepherds who met here to sell their merchandise. Settlement Bolboci - Scropoasa is located on the Ialomiţa river, in a magical mountain scenery, at an altitude of 1,438 meters, which gives it the title of the dam at the highest elevation in the country.

After we spent an hour to admire fairytale landscapes, not to mention the tranquility that lies in these areas, we still have to go by car for at least an hour to Piatra Arsa a place where the road for the car stops, and from here you need to go on foot, to the Babele and Sphinx at a height of over 2000 meters.
The road is not that easy, and as seen in pictures at half of May it's still snow on the ridges.

After another 45 minutes of walking, where we had fun, where we playing with snowballs, I laughed until I reached a high enough height where you can feel the Heaven.
The air here is very clean, you still feel the cool of the winter but cannot stop you from enjoying the wonderful landscape you can look from here.

The Sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains is an anthropomorphic megalith located at over 2,200 meters altitude. The rock was named after its resemblance to the Egyptian Sphinx, and its formation is attributed to wind erosion.
On the territory of the entire Carpathian chain there are many imposing stone columns which from the outskirts resemble human figures. This is believed to be the representation of some mythical personalities. These primitive images are only on the top of the mountains, the hills, the valleys, near the roads, from which a wide perspective opens.
On the plateau of Bucegi Mountains rises a group of bizarre rocks that have been named in the folk tradition "Babele".
In geography, these strange forms of rocks are called "mushrooms," Babes are derived from the action of the wind, called corazion.

The road back seemed to us much shorter than climbing, and so it was 14 hours since we go to the mountain until we returned home in Bucharest. A route that we will certainly do much more often now and hope to go to Vf Omu, the second highest peak in the mountains of Romania. Now we did not succeed, because on the way to this we saw a huge black cloud and a fog, and we, as we are not experienced for such a time, gave up, but surely in this summer we go there.
