Smartick is an application that uses AI to help little ones learn math. Aimed at children between 4 and 14 years old, this platform presents a fun method for one of the most feared subjects to become something simple and entertaining.

Although it was designed to be used by children after classes, platform tests have also been conducted inside the classrooms. At the Padre Coloma School in Spain, Smartick is being integrated as part of the program. "In only 3 courses, it has been ranked among the top 5 in the Community of Madrid, from 5.7 to 9.4 in mathematics in the official CDI tests," added Arroyo.

Another advantage of this application is that it is adapted to help children with special needs. As it matches the rhythm of each student, it perfectly serves to teach children who have a particular condition.

"We have children with high abilities, dyslexia, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Down Syndrome and Asperger's. By going at the pace that each one needs, we manage not to frustrate them by giving them exactly what they need. "

Arroyo emphasized that Smartick does not seek to replace traditional teaching methods. "We see Artificial Intelligence as a very powerful tool that can help a good teacher and fix the deficiencies that can cause a bad teacher," he said.

Recently, the platform was awarded in the First Edition of the "EL ESPAÑOL Digital Awards", winning the category of projects on Artificial Intelligence.
