A Special Throwback Thursday!: Crypto and the Potential Power Lunch!
Amazing to see that this is actually happening as it will be interesting to see how that meeting of old and new school entrepreneurs goes as I mentioned last year, there are many ways blockchain technology can be applied to the many industries that Warren Buffett finds himself in through his many investments at Berkshire Hathaway. I would assume that Justin’s best approach is to find subject matter experts in those fields to present real use case scenarios that will benefit the Companies in Buffet’s portfolio.
This also continues to show how brilliant Justin has been since starting TRON from merely an idea on a white paper to where it finds itself today as it continues to increase the size of its community and develop of Dapps for adoption across the ecosystem. He continues to broaden the limits as he thinks of ways to expand the reach of the TRON ecosystem beyond “the box.” As we experienced here on Steem with the integration of one of the most popular Blockchain games, Splinterlands; Justin is willing to try new things to expand the community and its use of the TRON blockchain.
Crypto’s Opportunity for a Seat at the Table: How Much for a Power Lunch?
For years now, the famous investor Warren Buffett has donated a lunch for seven people who bid the highest in an effort to donate to Glide, a San Francisco charity that serves meals to the homeless, provides treatment to addicts and organize support group for abuse victims. Since 2000, the winning bid has skyrocketed from $25,000 to about $3.5 million at its highest in 2012. These bids come from a wide range of figures, from anonymous groups to other famed investors like David Einhorn in 2003. This year’s bidding process is underway and finalizes on June 1st. So far, here is where bidding stands: $3.2 million!
As you can see, bidding has been quite active despite the seven-figure price tag currently winning. The amount is on track to be the highest amount ever paid for the auction in history of the auction. Even dividing the tab between the seven people would fetch a lunch of about $458,000 per person! In what seems to be an ego game, many bid for time with the famed investor. Unfortunately, eBay does not accept Bitcoin or any Cryptocurrency for this auction. It would have been great to see a team of Crypto Whales come together and win the bid to have seat at the table with Mr. Buffett to discuss Bitcoin and coming blockchain revolution!
Taking that thought further, could the community work together to create an ICO to win this bid next year? This would create an overwhelming message to the traditional finance community of the potential of blockchain technology that has been created thus far. The tokens could be votes for the seven representatives that should participate in the lunch with Mr. Buffett to educate him about the space. Many of the industries he invests in could benefit from the technology. For example, his insurance companies could benefit from claim streamlining while his railroad and logistics companies can benefit from supply chain solutions currently in the works with various blockchain projects. It would be for a great cause given the charity behind it which also demonstrates the community’s willingness to improve humanity.
Is this a crazy thought or is it something that could be done? It would definitely send a strong statement that blockchain and cryptocurrencies are here to stay. If you agree, let’s put out the word to the community for something to consider. #Steemit could definitely be a platform to promote this idea. #STEEM could potentially be a platform for the crowdfunding via the upcoming SMT platform. This is a great opportunity to see if more mainstream adoption starts to build from this upcoming meeting of the minds; particularly, those of more institutional players. While I have not been an avid supporter of TRON, these recent moves by Justin and team have gotten me to consider the impact they may make in the general blockchain space that could benefit them all. This just continues to prove that blockchain and cryptocurrency are here to stay as they continue to further integrate into the economy.

What i am feeling about Justinne sun is a pump and dump king in crypto market. He spend about 4.3 M to have food with Mr. Buffet that amount he can invest in technology to grow and get more good development in TRON.

I would have the same approach but the TRON ICO would have never raised what it did with his genius marketing efforts and approach!
When I first heard about the bidding about the Justin sun, It was $3.5milliom. I was amazed of the figure, never knew it is still going to rise up as high as $4.2milloon.
You are correct about the statement, it is quite possible, steem is the front end of steemit, projects keeps coming up on steemit daily at the time people seems to lose hope in steem.
$4 million is not much for 7 Crypto millionaires to come up with if they decide to divide the post. Especially if you consider the marketing and hype they could potentially get from it!
