Hello dear steemians, @oghie here.

Countless number of people have ponder how many times or how often they should pee. While no answer to that, the average person urinate 5 to six times a day (24 hours approximately).

There are lots of factors and reasons why an individual urinate during the day. Reasons could be food, medication, age and challenge.

Most doctors use the term urinary frequency to measure how often a person urinate.

A lot of individuals urinate 6-7 times daily (approximately 24 hours). It is only healthy when we urinate at least 4 to 10 times this might be considered if only the frequency has nothing to do with the person's life.

Below are some of the factors that for the urinary frequency

  • Bladder size
  • Age
  • The type of fluids consumed
  • The kind of medication the person is undergoing.

Doctors have proven that a person who consumes 64 ounces of fluid a day will urinate approximately 7 times.

Some causes and symptoms of urinating too much or not much

If a person urinates frequently daily, there maybe some causes behind the problem, below are some of the symptoms

  • Pain when urinating
  • Cloudy urine
  • A strong offensive smell when urinating
  • Fever
  • Difficulty in passing the urine out.

If the victim experiences any of the following listed above, it is advisable to visit your doctor.

If a person takes in large quantity of fluids, most especially, drinking fluids that contains caffeine, they are likely to notice or realize how frequent they urinate.

Medication

There are some drugs available that will make most individuals urinate a lot, one of them is called diuretics. This drug takes out the fluid from the bloodstream and send it directly to the kidneys. Take not, this kind of drugs are mostly prescribed for individuals with kidney problems, high blood pressure.

Constant urination does not require a lot of medication. Doctors advised that the main prevention needed is eating a balanced diet and at the same time, maintaining a a proper lifestyle can assist us moderate the output of our urine.
In other words, alcohol and caffeine is limited and abandoning foods that can harm or irritate the bladder, such as chocolate, and some spicy foods.

Note

Consuming high-fiber foods helps to reduce the frequent urine or constipation. This will aid in enhancing and improving the flow of urine through the urethra.
