Splendid Food and Drinks at Our Local "The Island"

Tonight, I couldn’t be bothered to cook at home, so @ezzy and I decided to go out to our local pub “The Island”.

We are actually quite lucky to have this pub as our local. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a good selection of food and drinks. Within our quiet, residential area, this is a lovely place for a drink or two! And most of the time, there are lots of tables available which is also really convenient.

The pub is already decorated with a Christmas tree and festive lighting. Love the atmosphere here every single time.

While buying the drinks, I noticed that they introduced a new facility to encourage people downloading a mobile app and charge their phone with a small in-house device. The app is called “ChargeUp” and apparently if you downloaded the app, it would allow you to charge your phone for an hour for free. Sounds interesting, I think I will find out more when I get back home.

Tonight, I had my regular Strawberry Cider, which was always refreshing.

For food, I ordered the Flat Iron Chicken with yoghurt dressed spinach and rosemary fries. The food was spot on, super juicy to the bite and full of flavour, absolutely delicious! Might I also mention those rosemary chips are simply to die for!

@ezzy had his usual Double British Beef Burger, which he was very satisfied with too.

The outside seating area is really nice too, with heaters at some tables and a good amount of seating. We love hanging out here in the summertime, lol. Finally, there is an upstairs restaurant area for people who prefer to have a more quiet dinner.

We are always happy with the quality of the food and drinks. Surely, we will be back before we know it! Enjoy!
