I got busy on gameguru last year but i crashed out around december, mentally, and i really havent done much since, steemit seems to have revived some interest in a little scripting but at a snailpace and i only function well at night ...
I remember trying some of this when i just got on and i got WRECKED by nazicleaners and their team of enlightened content fascists with no own talent because it was "not steemit" content , so let's try again, its time-saving week i want my distroscipts to be ready so i can get back to the fun-stuff

Gameguru is a total funstuff, its way more advanced than platfinity or the rpgthing by gamecreators because you have this pseudo-custom , object-based (i shouldnt say oriented) LUA scripting you can include. It works from objects, you link a script to an object and it works from there, really nice once you wrap your head around it, but not something you would run on a celeron pc either hahah
its mainly designed to make FPS and if you have a pc that would run hunrey da hungrey at 4K it will probably work out very well, otherwise you better keep the maps small (note : its been months since i actually tried doing new stuff with it)
i wanted to do a shooter in da hood, the neighbourhood here so the first idea was to make a topographic-like map and a streetplan, i found a site that had topographic data on the area, so with that i could have simpy converted it into a heightmap (not very difficult if you know how , lol, as most thing) but they were SO helpful they didn't even reply to my mail, so i euh, measured by thumb, moddeled a simple house in blender to the model of the houses here, took the height, then looked at the data on the site to see the height difference and stacked wall sections on top of each other to get to it by approximation. Took a screenshot from google maps as an "overlay" and painted the roads on the terrain like that

that was the base :), there's about ten more, it should last me all through time-saving week and time-saving week+1 , if you want text, you can upvote my comments to $400 or my answers on musing, someone today ( @cicisaja) told me i'm in the top 100 commenters on steemit (??!?) which is cool, so i think i should get a raise, but its the first i heard about it , i dont even know where those stats live :)

lost in da hood, prep-part, it's really the base, i never used blender much and i didnt know a letter of lua, first thing i did was try and model a wall section to find out the relative height to the game characters (there's no measurement in meters or inches in the program so a soldier of approx 170-180cm that can get through a door was my unit of measurement hahah, when in doubt and broke, think like the russians :p ), then to find out transparency is not the same as collision, and so on, my only way i work, no plan, just a direction and do as it goes along, it clearly shows a bit of advance over the next videos and with this i havent lost six hours on a post that gets me 50 cents to 2 dollars, thanks much
(no, poincgames is clearly not microsoft free but i think thats the only thing windows is useful for : directx, otherwise its a total waste to install on a production-pc)
i had to remove all audio because youble claimed copyright crud b/c of some music playing in the background so my nice voice explaination is gone, i hope to get back to stuff like this, especially the rpg on maker after i get the rest here up and running, but first things first and then the rest
