If you have not heard of golos-I don't blame you. It is was a coin that was airdropped to steem holders and made for the russian audience. It was a former steemit in the making. But then shit happened. The dev team has been nothing but a pain. Using google translate and going under the golos core profile you can find waves of negative comments.
A delegation system is not available in golos as such a bid bot economy is not present.
The final nail to the coffin might of been the introduction of 10% beneficiation. Basically 10% of the post rewards goes to the dec team one way it good bc it introduces more funding but another way it puts a strain in the system. WIth low liquidity and with investors now earning less from posts it might lead to a downward spiral. However what they make up less rewards they do make up with tech that people in steemit wants.

1. An official android and ios app in the making.
2. The addition of an official private messaging system directly added into golos
   aka no outside site to message-golos to golos users now
3. Official Notifications
   Not bad..
   A lot of features that we are complaining about they are getting soon.

So if golos is a dead project why am i bring this up?
Well for 3 things

1. I am on there but really hard to use the platform but @sames over there
2. I might start using it with this tool https://masdacs.io/crossposting
   It basically posting on diff rewardable social network at the same time.
   I shall do a post on whaleshares one day if you looked at the link you would now what I mean.
3. A golos fork may be on the way

While I don't the know future of golos, the project is not completely lost.
