Devil's Washboard
The Devil's Washboard is located at Aoshima, Kyshu in Japan and stretches about 8km along the coast. This is a natural phenomenon created by the soft mudstone washing over the hard sandstone over million of years ago. This formed layers of thick mud cake, and after time the soft mudstone was washed away by the waves again leaving a wave like surface on the hard sandstone.

Nice short post. A few years ago, we cycled past this place. We stopped for a break there, and may even have had a few beers there.
I can imagine, it would be a great place to stop by the sea and have a drink. Good call.
