Steemians: Why All The Fear???

in #busy6 years ago

We have a lot of anger and rage on here. There are times when we see a lot of emotionally charged posts complaining about different things. When I see this, I ask why all the fear?

There is nothing to be afraid of. We entered into a new realm. This is crypto-economics and people are starting to see that. This week, there are over 900K brand-new, never before owned, STEEM being issued out by the blockchain. It is an indication of the abundance that is coming to us all.

We just went through Hard Fork 20 which was successful. Yes, it was a success albeit with some challenges. Of course, now we find there are more obstacles which require attention.

I learned a long time ago that anger and rage is nothing more than a macho way to mask being afraid. When we are fearful, we lash out. The control is an illusion but, in the moment, it makes us feel better. Unfortunately, it creates a host of issues that often cannot be reversed.

The dimension we live in is based upon vibration. Everything has a vibration to it. Intuitively, we all know this. One only needs to be around someone in a fit of rage to know how that feels. There is a physical tension that we feel just being around that. The entire area is "heavier".

This is something we are conditioned for as I often mention. When we operate from a place of scarcity, we are in perpetual fear. No matter what we do, there is never enough.

Crypto-economics is not an arena of scarcity. There is a lot being offered on a daily basis. Most notably, we see msny projects that buy into the opposite of fear. In this realm, we see love-based actions prevailing.

When I say love, I am not talking the kumbaya stuff where people spread cheer and good tidings, whether they mean it or not. Instead, I am referring to the idea of doing something to uplift another or, ideally, humanity as a whole.

One such project that I am fond of is the 1UP initiative being created. This is nothing more than a platform designed to rewards Steemians for doing what they are doing. It simply pays extra tokens to a post. Hence, the author need not do anything different yet will receive a greater payout. The same holds true for curation. Using an inverted system, the largest account votes last to give the smaller accounts a larger payout.

This was tied to the @tribesteemup group that we see doing so much on here. You could say that @tribesteemup is another group that operates from a place of higher vibration. They promote individuals who spread positive messages about different aspects of life. Their focus is upon the realm of both 3D and 5D. It is evident they know that uplifting one leads to the other.

Combined, I believe these two organizations are a powerful team. They have the ability to change the focus of many people. This stands in direct contrast to what we are shown under the scarcity model.

There is only one reason to buy into FUD: Because one does not know what is going on.

It is really that simple.

I laugh at the remarks and articles posted by the MSM and the purveryors of FUD. The stuff they are saying is completely outlandish. Why can I take this approach? Because I spent enough time researching what is taking place.

Here is a case in point. We all know what the Wall Street people and their ilk say about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Many take it to heart, even some on here. The reason why it is totally prepostourous is because they soon will not be needed.

Check this out. This is the result of a hackathon that generated an alternative to a good part of Wall Street.

https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/10/09/hackers-present-stock-trading-prototype-on-ethereum-smart-contracts

This is just one example of ideas that are being developed out there.

Right here on Steem, we see the same thing. We have @fulltimegeek talking about putting together something for @steemmonsters which, if it works will be "smts without smts". @steemmonsters is getting closer to going live and that, from what people tell me, has the chance to be bigger than CryptoKitties. @share2steem is throwing out a major update with additional features AND the ability to target 3B Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter accounts.

In other words, when it comes to geeks, Steem is well represented.

For the past 13 months, I saw many get riled up and complain about a lot of different things. They launched attacks on other people while some, got up and left. In my opinion, they are doing nothing more than exercising their right to shoot themselves in the foot. But everyone has a different take on things.

The point here is that a lot of what they were complaining about is no longer an issue. Or even worse, was never an issue, just a misperception on their part. Either way, the outbursts did not solve the problem but it did antagonize people.

Fear-based reactions harm at so many levels. Right now, many are afraid that the new RC system is going to stunt growth. That is incorrect. The RC system is unfolding as planned. There is now a known cost to each activity where that didn't exist before. Also, the sign up process was spread out to the applications and larger individual accounts.

As an aside, I did do my first claimed account which I can do about every 36 hours.

Now we see the challenge of the lack of SP in the accounts created through this mechanism. This is nothing new. The only difference was, before, that Steemit delegated 15SP to each account. Without that, new accounts couldn't do anything.

So that is the next problem to overcome. How do we give newer accounts the ability to interact at a decent level that allows them to grow?

Whatever the solution is, I am sure in a year people will not be lashing out with anger driven posts about it. In other words, it will not be a problem then. It is a repeat of a great deal what I saw over the past 13 months. What is a problem today is not one in 90 days.

It is important for everyone to remember these are very early days. The Age of Abundance is just kicking off. Crypto-economics is still a newborn. All new technologies require a great deal of development and fine tuning. Ask some of the older geeks on here what the early days of the Internet were like. How would you like to have been on here before the web browser was developed?

By eliminating the fear that I am referring to, you will find your experience on here completely different. The attacks levied in a fit of fear do not serve anyone. It makes the poster look bad, is permanently placed on the blockchain, and stirs up more trolling. I am always baffled by those who proclaim to want to see Steem succeed yet write up posts that attack the hell out of it. Do you think someone who reads that stuff is going to drop $100K into this? Not likely.

Providing solutions to legitimate problems is a healthy course of action. However, engaging in emotionally driven tirades serve little purpose. It is one of the quickest ways to sabotage oneself.

Look at this ecosystem in the larger context of things and over a longer time frame. If one does that, I believe much of the fear that people have will diminish. Ultimately, those who got angry and left will end up kicking themselves in the pants.

Fear is a destructive force. We must all do what we can to stamp it out since it is a weapon of the elite.

Of course, their smug lashing out shows they are scared too. Crypto-economics is something they never dealt with before and will end up toppling their power structure.

So, the next time you are ready to fly off the at the keyboard about something on here, before doing that, ask yourself: what am I afraid of?

You will be amazed what you uncover.

I also claimed my first account yesterday and wil continue to do so to support the future growth of this ecosystem. As the tools to expand and engage continue to be available, we must focus on the sense of community so that the value is leverage in a way that is relevant to the goals of the ecosystem and not obe individual which is the system outside in the normal centralized world.

Agreed. I will keep claiming them although I dont know what to do with them.

I guess we will figure it out later.

Perhaps it can be delegated to an app that needs it...who knows what will be developed.

Me neither but it seems like a great resource to have to support communities focused on onboarding new accounts. I would hope we can provide then to those that can figure out ways to support via RC delegation to attain improved retention rates and engagement!

Yes that will be big. Getting accounts active is imperative. I understand the point of limiting but when one can only do one post or a couple comments a day, interest will be lost quickly.

"Perhaps it can be delegated to an app that needs it"
This would be genius !

This article is VERY relevant to this post. We must find balance.

Fear is one of the most basic of human conditions. Most of us run in that mode quite a bit of the time. Now having said that, I do think that Steem is one of those coins that could either go way up or way down so it does make sense that there would be some concern by people that have have large amounts invested.

Also, I know a lot of people are feeling upset that they did not pull any profit out during January's run up. Honestly I am one of those people. However, I know that the coin will continue to rise up once all of the little factors fall into place. Once everything lines up perfectly we're going to be headed to the Moon in a very fast rocket.

I find it interesting that those defending a system implemented to better benefit the whales at the expense of minnows always manage to make it 20page essays that is tantamount to a gish gallop where no individual point could be made without responding with a 40-50 page essay.

I always stay positive and I know crypto economics will transcend toward our galaxy. ;)

I think 1up is going to be big

"engaging in emotionally driven tirades serve little purpose"

other than becoming POTUS lol

Yeah it works well in reality TV and politics it seems.

"This week, there are over 900K brand-new, never before owned, STEEM being issued out by the blockchain. It is an indication of the abundance that is coming to us all."

You seem to be more and more delusional, not sure you really believe what you're writing yourself or just playing the part that has gained you substantial amount of stake here. Don't bite the hand that is feeding you is a common saying, but some seem to be more eager to "sell their soul" for a penny than others and for that I salute you. My moral just doesn't allow it sadly.

There are still huge issues within Steem, and if we all act like this is a dreamland like you say we should, it won't make any difference. People will over time find the well kept secrets that will turn many away from this blockchain. And for that reason Steem is being "attacked" as you call it. But you're paid to defend Steem, literally, it's your job, so I'll give it a pass.

However, my advice is to not think of your readers as a idiots or people to sell snake oil to.

"emotionally driven tirades", yes Steem is place for calculated actions to maximize profit for many, I know, some hoped for something a bit more and can get upset thinking of the potential wasted here. My apologizes for them.

I know, getting money is the goal and to reach that goal everything is justified. Always good to check how you try to bring positive spin to everything though. Now let's get back to self voting, voting circles and reserving our voting power for promoted bots. The retention numbers show the truth.
