The View through the Abbey

This view is always one of my favorites at Fountains Abbey, you can stand here and see through the archway to the other opposite window. I can only imagine what this view might have looked like when it was a working monastery! The blue skies were amazing this day and showed off the beautiful architecture of the Abbey. My entry for this weeks #architecturalphotography contest by @juliank and @photocontests!
