New limousine for Vladimir Putin
In an attempt to reaffirm the grandeur of his patriotism, Russian President Vladimir Putin has abandoned his Mercedes-Benz limo to turn to a model built in his country.
Elected Russian President for a fourth time last March, Putin was able to become familiar with new vehicle during a first inaugural ride.
More than a new vehicle, this limo built in Russia launches a symbolic message of self-sufficiency. Ironically, the front of this new car is similar to that of a Rolls-Royce or even that of the Chrysler 300, a typical American model.
We know very little about the technical characteristics of this show on wheels, but the Reuters said that this Russian limousine would be in preparation since 2012. To it will eventually be added a procession of presidential vehicles including a smaller sedan format, a van and an off-road model.
Partially developed by a government agency, the various state vehicles will be marketed in a limited edition for the general public under the Aurus banner.
Closer to home, US President Donald Trump will also receive a new limo this summer . It is the Cadillac builder who had the mandate to develop it.
