Thursday is Butterfly Day and Insect Day Giveaway- Week - 30
On my @wednesdaywalk through Queen Sirikit Park in Bangkok City the other day i not only found many unusually flowers that i hadn't seen before , these flowers also bought about some very unusually looking butterflies that i hadn't seen before when i spotted this one i actually thought it was a dried up leaf just hanging on this flower till i had a closer look and saw it was some sort of butterfly what a awesome camouflage i thought. Upon googling this amazing butterfly i discovered it came known to me that they call this one the Cabbage Butterfly and why is because they start of as a green cabbage worm because they love eating cabbage the larva then evolves as a cabbage butterfly in their adult hood.
These Cabbage butterflies are found everywhere in Asia and Europe but their exact place of origin is yet unknown.They say to distinguish between a male and a female the male displays a creamy white coloration with a single black spot on the primary wings where as the female is rather pale yellowish, with two black spots placed somewhere around the center and the sad part with these beautiful Cabbage butterflies their lifespan is only up to 3 weeks. And what a bonus as i was about to click to get another photo of this beautiful butterfly another landed and before i could get another photo they both flew off but i was so aesthetic to see these Cabbage butterflies for my first time.
