My walk along the Bangkok canal last week i noticed many boats flying up and down the Bangkok canal travling both ways they call these boats the Khlong Taxi Boats a fast express boat that travels across Bangkok traffic with speed. In the morning peak hour and afternoon rush hour used to get to and from work a big percentage of Bangkok commuters use these express boats.
The essence of the Express Boat system is not only to get the commuters to and from work faster and a lot cheaper but also used for getting food and merchandise delivered across the big Bangkok city much quicker. Also great for tourist during the day after the peak hours to get to many many historical attractions , temples and even to famous shopping centers and markets a great way and easy way to enjoy the scenery of the Bangkok canal on one of these taxi boats.
After my 5 hour walk along this canal and covering a few kilometers i had i decided i wasn't going to walk back so i was curious to ride on one of these taxi boats which they actually call Khlong Saen Saeb System in Thai language and the canal is known as the Venice of the East. The taxi boats will cost you from 8 baht to 20 baht depending where you want to get of that is 10 cents to 20 cents in US currency and that takes you quite a way.
I have got to tell you riding on one of these taxi boats was quite a exhilarating experience not only because of the speed in which they move along the canal but also how these young girls or young chaps move along the side of the boat collecting your fare as the boat is accelerating along the canal you certainly need a nak of balance to be doing that. Most tourist are not aware of these taxi boats along the canal if ever in Bangkok you must ride these taxi boats it's certainly a great way of getting to see the day to day life in the urban jungle.

Thxs yep it's a great city all of Thailand actually is awesome have been living and working here for eight years now and will not go back home to Australia :)

I have been an expat in Shenzhen China for about 5 and I'm not planning on going back home anytime soon :)

Thank you @delishtreats and i only covered a fraction of the canal it runs for many kilometers through the city of Bangkok i intend going back to see more it really has a lot of culture this canal :)
