Getting to know @immarojas

We're back again with another awesome Pinoy Steemian, @immarojas. She has been in the platform for almost 3 years and has been producing amazing, entertaining, and educational content. If you want to know more about homesteading, photography, or medical stuff, you might want to visit her page. She has a very artistic and cool way of incorporating educational bits into her daily posts, I assure you that you'll always end up learning something new with every article she creates.

I am amazed at her every post but being a coffee lover, I love her about Rice Coffee in Vigan the most.

I was able to have a short and informal interview with her. Let's all get to know @immarojas even more.

Nickname: Imma

3 fun facts about you:

These things can be fun to me but they might not be to some, so here goes:
I taught myself on how to play the guitar years ago, though am not that good and i haven't played in a long time.
If i have to choose between staying in a hotel or camping... People should try camping. Specially the kids.
Hiking or spa? I love both, but hiking in silence is more spiritual.

How did you learn about Steemit?

I follow @thedollarvigilante on Facebook and he first tried Steemit around 2016, i joined not long after. The difference between then and now is huge. In saying that, the difference in number probably played a role. Plus the presence of curation groups changed a lot of the dynamics in the platform.

What is your best experience on Steemit?
Ano ang pinaka

Steemfest2 in Lisbon and meeting a few great people who are now friends IRL.

What posts do you look out for in the platform?

#FreedomFriday but it's on-hold atm, also as I am a member of @naturalmedicine, we have cool stuff coming out in a daily basis to learn from, as well as cool contests that are educational, important to the body, mind and soul.

As a curator for @bayanihan, finding an occasional gem can make my day.

What is you motivation for writing?

I want to write something that anyone can learn from or take something in whatever way, may it be photography, life lessons, health stuff, extra knowledge or local natural medicines that can help someone or their families. We have loads of local herbs in the Philippines that are being ignored. Also, we can learn a lot from our arbularyos that the Pinoys of today are discrediting. Food is medicine, this is being underestimated. Our immune system benefits from organic and proper food, even antioxidant food in preventing cancer. Drugs are synthetic. As a nurse, we need them in acute setting but in the long-term, there are fruits, veggies, herbs and minerals that are full of healthy benefits.

Message for our fellow Pinoy Steemians:

Can I just emphasize what we look for in our curations for @bayanihan? If I may?
Steemit as a blogging platform, we do look for quality posts having a minimum of 150 words with #philippines and #pilipinas tags. This is for all Pinoys all over the world, as well as foreigner Steemians in the country.

Apologies for those who are posting great images that we don't upvote, if I may ask to put a bit of effort with our blogs. With the low Steem price, it does pay-off when we have accumulated a bit. The difference in the Philippines is that, a dollar goes a long way, compared to most places. We are lucky in that regard but please put a bit of effort too. There are loads of curation groups and Dapps to get exposure from. Quality is one that they look for. Using #naturalmedicine tag can also be upvoted when posting local herbal remedies, #homesteading, #gardening etc.

Thank you for this opportunity. Be well. Cheers!
