Police warn against the dangers of marijuana candy, but report no incidents
At the very beginning, this article asks a question:
What motivates alerts for drugged, poisoned, and weaponized Halloween candy that circulate on social media and news publications?
Fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Now that I think about it, I probably made the wrong image for this story. It's that and it's also just the desire for as many clicks as possible on "news" stories.
It may happen some time... I'm not saying it can't... but in general, I don't think parents need to be afraid of anyone giving their kids weed candy. Do you know how expensive that shit is? No one is going to waste it on your precious spawn in hopes that he or she will get all fucked up, because that would be... funny? I don't get it.
Not surprisingly, this article didn't find any incidents of people maliciously giving out weed candy to kids on Halloween.
