EXT: NEW YORK, NEW YORK, GROUND ZERO – DAYTIME
Two planes have just hit the World Trade Center. Everyone runs about in panic.
TOM WILKINS:
This is Tom Wilkins reporting live for the BBC. We are in New York city where one of the largest terrorist attacks ever has taken place. First responders are rushing to the scene in order to help people trapped in the twin towers of the World Trade Center.
The live news feed switches to the buildings which begin to collapse.
TOM WILKINS:
The buildings are falling to the ground. There are still people inside and the first responders. They’re all going to die!
Debris begins to fill the air. Now, Tom Wilkins and the cameraman, start to run from the scene fearing for their lives.
INT: LONDON, BOARDROOM – DAYTIME
Lord York has just watched Tom Wilkins reporting live from New York on the tele. Subordinates sit in chairs around a large table on the top floor of a London skyscraper. They represent the share holders of Lycon Oil, and its subsidiary companies in weapons manufacturing.
LORD YORK
Now it’s begun. From this moment on the world will never be the same, it’s been transformed. We must act accordingly if we are to remain in power.
SUBORDINATE
Don’t worry about our end. We’ve got everything covered. We’re all in this together. We will not let the fraternity of man down; we will not let The House of York fall.
LORD YORK
Excellent! The rewards will be great. Once the stock market opens our shares are going to be the most sought after. We just need to remain calm in the face of this terror.
