Overwhelming Number Of Patients Turning To Cannabis To Help With Mood-Related Conditions

It's estimated that more than 180 million people in the world consume cannabis on a regular basis.

Cannabis is regarded as the most widely-used “drug” in the world and there are now an increasing number of municipalities worldwide that are moving toward embracing cannabis legalization.

Despite the war on drugs and its attempts to block access to cannabis, you can find cannabis pretty much anywhere, including in schools and prisons.

One reason that so many people have been turning to experiment with cannabis is because they've been looking for help with their various health issues, whether it be PTSD, anxiety, pain, depression, arthritis, or some other ailment, there are many patients who've proven to be helped by cannabis.

A recent study from CB2 Insights suggests that an overwhelming number of patients might be turning to cannabis to help them with mood-related conditions such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

Those who were using cannabis to seek help with mood-related conditions had represented at least 34 percent of the patients from the report, who claimed to be seeking cannabis for medicinal purposes.

After mood-related conditions, the report found that many patients are also turning to cannabis to help with pain management, followed by at least 15 percent who said they were using cannabis to help with their sleep-related disorders.

It's incredible that one plant can help so many people seek remedy from a wide variety of illnesses. It's time for authority figures to stop locking people up in cages over something that can bring so much healing and do so much good for the quality of life for many.

Federal Changes Coming Soon?

Just recently, a bill, the Marijuana Justice Act, was introduced that's seeking to remove cannabis from the list of controlled substances in the United States. It's expected that it might easily pass the House but there is an obstacle in the Senate with majority leader Mitch McConnell who has in the past stood against cannabis reform.
