Steem OG flowers caked with trichomes (see photos)

Everything came together for this shot - gorgeous plant, aesthetic angle and framing, steady hand, good lighting, and luck!

But that thumbnail doesn't do the photograph justice. Steemit recently began strictly limiting the size of photo uploads. As a photographer whose blog is partly made up of photographs I've taken, and as editor for the cannamodeling team @GirlsofGreen, photos are a huge part of my blockchain experience. To be limited to relatively small (under 1mb) photos was bad enough, but now the widest possible photograph is a mere 800 pixels! Not enough to see any detail, text becomes blurry, meaning can be lost.

Workaround

For some reason, there's no maximum length for photos (just width). This allows me to create slender cuts at the original resolution, showing full detail.

Here's a slice of the original photograph, right down the center of the flower:

And if I turn the photograph on its side, I can show you another incredible slice, from tip to glistening tip.

Enjoy the scroll:

Sorry you have to see it sideways, but that's the only way I can show you detail. This is what it looks like 'right way up' at 800 pixel width:

Hopefully they relax this strict width requirement soon.

Steem OG is a hybrid of 2 hybrids of 2 hybrids created by @jonyoudyer. "Ace" is a fully organic nothing-but-dirt female, 6 weeks into reproductive flowering cycle.

Great photo, you certainly have my upvote.

The 800 pixel limit is indeed a problem. But that's a nice new banner out of that photo :)

Hemptastic post of cannabis goodness! Sparkling trichomes at full resolution :D
Resteemed to my hemperrific followers!

Incredible close-up! You can see each individual trichome...and there's a forest of them! Wow!

absolutely delicious.

Damn! Making me jelly that my steem og doesn't have that much trics! lol Looking good buddy.

Danks!
I'm kind of hoping I don't enjoy the flavour/effect of the medicine once it's ready.... so that I'm not too sad I'm losing the genetics! Oh well, plenty more seeds in the trees, or whatever that expression is :D
At least I'll have the photos and memories.

Much appreciated, glad you enjoyed! Thanks :)

Great Pictures! Have you thought of taking the plastic cover off you light? A fan will really help beef up your cardiovascular system of the plants too, allowing thicker stems and buds.

Thanks :) Yeah a fan has been on my want list for a long time but there's no budget for it yet. I blow on them and fan them manually often enough that they're not fragile, but a fan would obviously be easier and more effective. Just the money issue.
I've thought of taking off the plastic cover, but I find it diffuses the light in an advantageous way (tends to direct it downward, but scattered). It also prevents any tall shoots from being burned off by the tubes.
One thing though, is I'm going to buy new tubes. These ones are 30 years old (original when the box was made by my dad). They're less efficient than they were when they were new. Besides, I imagine tube technology has improved a little. I saw some $8 tubes at a local hardware store, specially made for plant growth. I'm also looking at some cheap but effective red and blue LED strips to line the box rim.
I was homeless all 2017, with my ballast (inherited from my gardening grandparents) in a storage unit. Now I have a place (a miracle in Vancouver), enough coming in to pay the rent (also a feat), and I'm slooooowly upgrading my little indoor garden. Thanks for your patience, and your help!

What did you do to that poor plant?
