How To Successfully Transplant (VEG ROOM UPDATE #52)
Hi Steemians! So the other day fellow Steemian @drutter mentioned there should be more how to, and educational posts on the subject of growing cannabis here on Steem and I completely agree. I care deeply about the state of the cannabis community here on Steem, there is no reason why Steem can't be a great place for cannabis content, which it is, but we can do better. Smoke is cool, but to just have a site just for posting cannabis, get's a little boring, and I like putting my cannabis post right along side the people who would otherwise never get to see a cannabis post. Just maybe we can show a person that may be against cannabis, that cannabis isn't so bad after all. So for this reason is why all my canna people should not stop posting their cannabis content here. Yes you can still post on Smoke, but don't limit yourself to one demographic of people. Spread the word, and free the weed!
Today I will show you how to transplant. It's actually very easy, but I fell some people look to much into it and fuck it up. The strain i will be transplanting from a one gallon pot, to a 3 gallon pot, is Peanut Butter Breath. It is a cross of Mendo Breath, and Do Si DOs.
Step 1
Take a look and see how deep you want to bury the root ball. I like to bury it closes to the bottom nodes.

Step 2
Gently pull out root ball. Don't be afraid, those roots are stronger then you think.

Step 3
Have a fork on hand.

Step 4
Using the fork, bust up and pull those bound up bottom roots out.

Set root ball into pot.

Step 6
Now just fill up pot with your growing medium. I use a blend of Fox Farm Ocean Forest, and Happy Frog.

After pot is filled, make sure you put your label back it. You do not want to forget what strain the plant is. This is a common rookie mistake and it always boggles my mind when growers get it mixed up.

So that's how you transplant. Very simple, but can be intimidating for the first time grower. Just remember once a cannabis plant is in the 'teen' stage, it is very hard to kill it. Don't be afraid, and if you make a mistake, learn from it! That's is the name of the game after all. Learn all you can, and making mistakes, sometimes can be the best teacher in life, same applies to growing.

I generally have never used a fork at all (and "bust up" sounds quite aggressive!)
I transplant before the roots get bound to avoid that issue. No hardforking needed :D
I'm telling you, they just need to move the decimal point over two spots when displaying the rewards here on Steem, and then people will think they're making more, and they'll even feign interest and comment to get more of that sweet, sweet... small amount of crypto.
Well whats funny is, they advertise like it's the first censorship free platform, yet they practice censorship with their actions. Just a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. Oh well Steem is truly a great place to post about cannabis, and maybe the rewards are smaller, but if the greedy want to just post for rewards, then hey by all means stop posting here. But just know Canna is on it's way to be a whale, and when the price goes up, the rewards will be more here.

Nice post. I usually rinse the root ball instead of using a fork. But each to his own. The only reason I would rather post cannabis posts on smoke rather than steemit is because smoke people actually seem to click on posts and they read it. They also appreciate it more. If we could still see page views on posts here, you'll be surprised just how few people actually saw this post before they upvoted it. It's rather lame that steemit is like this.
