Even if it's illegal strangers are planting cannabis in Romania | Bad News
Two Italians and two Spanish guys found the right place in a village in Iaşi, Romania to set up a cannabis business. The men set up a cannabis plantation where the locals worked there daily.
DIICOT (The Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism) prosecutors have seized 60 kilograms of "weed" which would have reached the markets in Europe.
The four foreign citizens bought in the spring a 800 square feet land in Mironeasa in Iasi, Romania where they cultivated a plantation of over 2,000 cannabis plants.
Here was the largest cannabis plantation in the county. Policemen and prosecutors raised about 60 kilograms of cannabis different plants.
The whole business worked with the locals help, but they had no idea what plants they cared for. For their work, they were paid between $25 and $40 a day.

True, I was happy. The job was close of our house, we needed money, we have seven children.
I am sure they were afraid they will be accused of crime complicity...
After the researches, there were found powerful cannabis planting equipment, as well as utensils for harvesting and processing them.
The drugs were then transported in aluminum doses from refreshments. According to prosecutors, the drugs were intended for the European market, but not for the Romanian market.
Those 4 foreigners were arrested.
