Legend celebrates 70 years of existence

in #car5 years ago

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, exactly 70 years have passed since the first official presentation of the cult Citroen 2 CV - known to us as "Spacek". It was premiered in 1948 at the Paris Motor Show.

The vehicle was intended for farmers, craftsmen and vineyards of rural France to replace bicycles, horse-drawn carriages, and farm trains. Everything that was more than easy to use and practical, was superfluous. The car was anything but beautiful and attractive, but it didn't matter at all because it was intended only for work.

In 1988, at the central factory in France, in Levallois-Perret, after 40 years the production of "Spacek" was completed. Reason: inadequate plant obsolescence and harsh working conditions. It was finally buried by the European Union's new emission standards a year later.

I saw this little bright red bizarre car on my way home, and I have to take a photo of it for you to see. Of course, the photo was made by my phone Samsung A5.*
