The Toyota Auris will get a 2.0-liter engine

For the next generation of the model, a new hybrid unit is also available
Toyota will present the next generation of its Auris hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show. Along with the model, it will debut a new power unit - 2.0-liter with 4 cylinders from the Dynamic Force Engines family, whose thermal efficiency is 40 and 41% (in the hybrid version).

The new Toyota Auris will get more dynamic exterior design, LED headlamps and various rear ramps. Changes in the interior are also expected, but for the time being they are still keeping the company secret.

The range of engines will be completed by a hybrid unit, which will enter the new gasoline engine. The development of the hybrid version has been used by the new generation of Toyota Prius.

It is known that in its standard version the new 2.0-liter gasoline engine will develop 171 hp. and 205 Nm. When the engine is part of the hybrid system, its power will be 146 hp. and 180 Nm.

The engine family of the current generation of Toyota Auris (pictured) consists of 1.2-liter turbocharger (116 hp), 1.33 and 1.6-liter atmospheric engines, developing respectively 99 and 132 k. with diesel and 1.4 and 1.6 liters of 90 and 132 hp. respectively. The hybrid version is a 1.8-liter gasoline engine that develops 136 hp.
