Authorities in France have banned drivers from using mobile phones, even when the car is stopped, reports local publication The Local. The fine for non-compliance of the new provision is 135 euros. It affects even situations where the vehicle is off the road and is included emergency lights.

So far, drivers in France was forbidden to use cell phones only during movement. Now, drivers of motor vehicles can be fined at any moment. The only exceptions are cases in which the vehicle is a special place for parking.

In addition to fine violators are threatened with three penalty points. According to the laws in France, laid up to 12 such points lead to revocation of driver's license. However, penalties will not apply to drivers who have connected your phone with the system of the car so talk while driving.
