MG ZS EV Road Trip Part 3:- Full speed ahead up the M6 and home | Would we do it again?

Time for part three of the MGZSEV road trip...

As you can see now we've got a fair way on our journey, and bits have been challenging due to having find where to recharge, when some have been out of order, granted only one, forget all that though, on charge this pulses, how cool's that?

We're experiencing it all immense traffic jam in Birmingham in the middle of the night, winds which remarkably don't seem to affect the ZS EV at all regardless of its soft suspension, it feels so well planted.

This car is very good at coping with traffic for example it has active cruise control and traffic jam assist so you can just sit in traffic and just follow the car in front, perfect, and it's also got blindspot detection as well so you can see if someone decides to cut in.

The has been such an interesting one we've seen if it's capable of doing a long haul in an EV, and it certainly is - however realistically how many of these will you do? You're not gonna be doing this every week the likelihood is once or twice a year which means it's still perfect for doing the commuting and when it's not driving you'll realistically have it on charge at home with your granny charger.

You can always go to CCS charger and give it maybe 10 minutes and get 30 or 40 minutes whatever, it's perfect for both and if you don't fancy using EV for the long haul why not just hire a combustion model or train it.

Annabelle and myself have fully enjoyed this adventure it's the first time we've done anything with an EV and it really has been an eye opener and a half but that's because we didn't know anything about charging and a modest amount about electric vehicles.

We just wondered is it possible to go from Goodwood revival to the north-west and back and yes it is which means next year we could use an EV to go to this fab event.

You may not be ready for an EV you may want a hybrid or you may be happy with combustion - We're just happy we managed it and going forward charger numbers and locations are only going to increase.
