Peugeot 508 GT Review and Road Test | Planet Auto
This week the Planet Auto team review the new Peugeot 508 GT, a premium sporty saloon taking on the Kia Stinger, Skoda Superb and Volkswagen Arteon. The model we tested was the top spec GT with a 1.6L turbo petrol engine producing a remarkable 225 PS coupled to a 8 speed automatic gearbox.
The 508 GT we tested was one of the top specification cars costing just under £40,000 however for this you did get night vision, leather interior, power tailgate amongst a range of other equipment. The range does start at just over £25,000, a range of diesel and petrol engines are on offer with a manual or automatic gear box.
The team put the car through its paces covering well over 1000 miles in a week taking a look at the practicality, functionality, what its like to drive and then answer the important question. Is this the car for you?
The night vision for warning you about pedestrians is an awsome feature.

This one is simply breathtaking. Peugeot vehicles have always been known for being sleek, very comfortable, and very strong, to mention but a few. This particular vehicle is actually more than that - I will just call it a smart car. Everything you need is right there with you - wireless charger, night vision, even a lot of precautions have been put in place to ensure safety. This is a masterpiece.

This has rekindled the passion for Peugeot, earlier cars always had a motorsport calibre, the 205 gti etc, this revisits that. This is very advanced, smart describes it very well. If you get chance to drive one do it, and go for the GT, thank you.
Thank you for this presentation of Peugeot 508, I like the electronic panel in front with digital displays, look like in movies about future. Only one thing is bothering me, once you have so much electronics there is a higher chance that something can break down. As you may be aware it is difficult to diagnose some small problems, or may be my car was a bit unique with its mysterious problems. I like the glass roof of car and quite spacious car boot. Great explanation, very interesting.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it, yes however someone mentioned an interesting point the other day - most handbrakes are now electronic, meaning more to go wrong? well the guy said actually with a mechanical handbrake there is more work to fix it, where as the new way you just change a sensor, I;d never looked at it like that, far cheaper. This is a fantsic car, Peugeot should be proud.
I agree with you that it's a very good looking car. It is quite different from other Peugeot cars. My brother has a smaller one.
Would the car even massage me? Well, I have much better car and it doesn't massage me. I must have done something terribly wrong :D
I like the chairs, dashboard and the roof window. It also looks quite spacious for people of my size :)

Thank you, yes we ended up very passionate about the 508, and didn't want to give it back. It's amazing what you get for the money, the equivalent German would be considerably more expensive, it's fun too.

Red certainly was the colour to make this car standout, an amazing Peugeot with an SW coming too.
A car that gives massage Great! I loved to know a little more about cars, this topic has interested me a lot and I loved the video, I enjoyed seeing the window of the roof of the car, in my country almost do not see cars with windows of that type.
Thank you for following us, yes it's a great car, the sunroof is cool and has an electronic blind too combine that with dynamic driving and massaging and it's a sublime experience.
You've done a very thorough review of this car! Everything from the cup holders to tethering hooks and the night vision. You've left nothing out for anyone who would like to purchase one! I love the water beading on its surface under the fresh wax. Just a good "sexy" touch to the video.
