Peugeot Rifter LAV 2019 Review & Road Test
The Peugeot Rifter LAV (leisure activity vehicle) is a very versatile vehicle, based on a van, it has a staggering 3000 litres of space as the 5 seater setup, around 800 in the boot alone and it is also available in a 7 seater, and it comes with a range of engines, gearboxes and trims.
The model we have is the 1.5 Diesel Turbo BlueHDI with a 5 speed manual gearbox in the Allure trim, yes it's strange not to have 6 gears, yet it copes very well and dleiver around 50mpg.
The Rifter combines funky rugged bumpers, with a sporty interior and the signature sports wheel from the 508 and 5008, it also offers a range of tech including infotainment screen with Apple Car play and Android Auto as well as lane keep assist and roadsign recognition.
It's very comfortable with the drivers seats having movable armrests, it's also very roomy and very affordable, our model is priced at just just over £24,000, however it does have some options added.
The Rifter is mobility minded with 2 side sliding doors and a raised ride height making it easy to climb in and out, the 1.5 BlueHDI turbo diesel engine is punchy and delivers around 50mpg on a decent run, we managed 52mpg.
Overall the Peugeot Rifter is roomy, offers a very comfortable ride, very affordable and perfect for long journeys.
A great looking vehicle that you can make look really cool with GT line trim.
