Silver Abyssinian

Another prominent strand of the Abyssinian lineage is the Silver. This cat features a brightly coloured undercoat with a darker pointing that creates an almost silver like armour in appearance. It could be compared to that of a husky wolf in the snow. The Silver Abyssinian is only recognised officially as a breed within the United Kingdom, this may be attributed to the long breeding history that has held fast in Britain since many years ago. The silver cat has many colouring variations within itself but the common parts relate to the leather of the nose and paws. The nose will be expected to be pink in appearance while the paw pads will feature a similar tone. If these are any other colour there is a high chance that the breed in hand may be recognised as another type of Abyssinian or similar.
