Curator Cat on Caturday: Peace in the House, at Last!
Happy Caturday, everyone!
Saturday means Caturday, so bring out your awesome cat photos and content!
As some of you know, the Humans have had a houseguest for 12 days now, and that has been a little bit of a substantial challenge to handle.
Enjoying the morning sun... sorry, I was moving!
Although some cats are very social and really like being in the middle of "stuff," many of us are pretty shy and reserved, and we don't really feel so well when the daily routine is... well... no longer a "routine."
The good news is that our houseguest is leaving later this morning, and some semblance of normalcy will be restored!
There's definitely a bug up there!
Whether you believe in such things — or not — cats are very "psychic," or at least very tuned into the energies of people in the household. Most Humans are familiar with the idea of meeting someone and "getting a bad vibe" even if you don't know exactly why.
And the daily Curator Cat selfie! Yes, I look a little apprehensive...
In a cat, that kind of sensation... and paying attention to it... is magnified multifold. We sense your moods! And when there is someone new around (like a houseguest) that can be disturbing.
It can also be disturbing that we're suddenly getting less attention than we're used to, because you are spending so much time with your guest.
Thankfully, my Humans are pretty aware of these things and took time to "check in with the cat" and make sure some of my normal daily things remained in place.
That might sound a bit silly if you're not intimately familiar with cats... but we're actually prone to "stress related" physical illnesses when there's too much going on.
Anyway, I look forward to peace and quiet in the house again!
In the meantime, I hope everyone has a marvelous Caturday!

As it turned out, there was actually a fly that had gotten inside the lampshade of the ceiling light and was making a noise as it kept hitting the side. VERY annoying!

My one cat was not very affectionate. He would accept affection but didn't give it. But if I was feeling sad he would come sit in my lap and purr. When I felt better he'd go off and ignore me again. :-}
Cats are interesting like that! They seem to "know" things, but deciding to act on it (like sit in your lap) has to be THEIR idea, or it's not going to happen... or so it seems.

oh yes... "caturday" again. Also should finish a post today. Made a lot pictures cat slaughter mice or birds. They currently bring them every ten minutes to share them with me.
I realized they start eating the mice from their head... If they to big and something left it's for the others.
I am really not sure to release those pictures :-)
Helping to "support the household" seems to be very normal cat behaviour. When we had mostly outside cats, we would often get these "presents," sometimes still alive.
Although the pictures speak the truth about cats, they might be a little brutal for serious animal lovers... not sure.

Seems to hold true around here. Maybe things feel more constant in a house with 10 cats?
