The honeybee

Greetings, friends

The bee is one of the most striking symbols of labor.

Why did this happen? It's all because of the way bees live. These insects really work tirelessly.: They collect nectar and pollen, build honeycombs, take care of the offspring and protect the hive. Watching this, people began to see the bee as the embodiment of various work-related ideas.

Diligence and perseverance. The bee is constantly on the move, its efforts are aimed at a common goal — the production of honey.

Teamwork. In the hive, each individual has its own role, and it is only thanks to the coherence of the whole family that the whole team thrives. Therefore, the bee is often perceived as a symbol not of individual heroism, but of collective labor, where personal effort makes sense in a common cause.

Order and discipline. The hive was perceived as a model of an ideal device — with a clear hierarchy, distribution of responsibilities and subordination of a part to the whole. That is why in the Middle Ages in Europe, the bee was often associated with monastic discipline or a communal way of life.

Thrift and accumulation. Bees create honey reserves — this has become a metaphor for the ability to plan and save resources for the future.

I know another similar symbol of labor, more precisely, the worker's insect. The ant! These guys also work constantly and always, but they don't ask for awards for their work.
