The Gawai celebration last week

Gawai is the celebration for the Dayak peoples in Sarawak. A few major ethnic Dayak groups are the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu.

Hari Gawai is celebrate on the 1st and 2nd of June every year. It is a religious and social occasion as it marks the end of the harvesting season. The festival is filled with much singing and dancing as they start a new farming season.
