Convoy continues. Health Lieutenant US Herman Geist, a member of the 38th 2nd Infantry Regiment Battalion, who besides the liberation of Pilsen also contributed to the liberation of Domažlice.

Konvoj pokračuje. Zdraví nás americký poručík Herman Geist, příslušník 38. praporu 2. pěšího pluku, který se kromě osvobození Plzně podílel i na osvobození města Domažlic.

We also welcome the jeep of Belgian veteran Hubert Rauw, who was born on October 8, 1927. He was a member of the battalion battalion and his unit stopped in Bavaria in 1945 and did not continue. Still, Hubert Rauw has been a nice couple of years to our celebrations.

Dále vítáme Jeep belgického veterána Huberta Rauwa, který se narodil 8. října 1927. Byl příslušníkem střeleckého praporu a jeho jednotka se v r. 1945 zastavila v Bavorsku a dále už nepokračovala. Přesto Hubert Rauw už hezkých pár let k našim oslavám patří.

There is also the American George Thompson, technical sergeant of the 137th Battalion of the 16th Armored Division's US Army Technical Security. Apart from Pilsen, he also contributed to the liberation of the town of Nýřany.
Today he lives in Oregon.

Nechybí tu ani Američan George Thompson, technický seržant 137. praporu technického zabezpečení 16. obrněné divize americké armády. Kromě Plzně se podílel i na osvobození města Nýřany.
Dnes žije v Oregonu.

Another veteran is Belgian Louis Gihoul, the personal driver of the commander of the 5th Belgian Shooter Company. Their special section deminated the terrain for the advancement of the Allied army.
At the age of 94, he sat in Belgium in the car, took off himself 800 km and came to Pilsen, welcome him!

Dalším veteránem je Belgičan Louis Gihoul, osobní řidič velitele 5. roty belgických střelců. Jejich speciální oddíl odminovával terén pro postup spojenecké armády.
Ve věku 94 let sedl v Belgii do vozu, odřídil sám 800 km a dorazil k nám do Plzně, přivítejme ho!

There is also American veteran Franklin Simon, a member of the 26th Yankee Brigade, currently a successful US entrepreneur, the founder of The Simon Companies.

Nechybí tu ani americký veterán Franklin Simon, příslušník 26th Yankee Brigade, v současné době úspěšný podnikatel v USA, zakladatel společnosti The Simon Companies.

And the nocturnal veteran in today's piece of the series is American Richard Pieper, 1924, 19th Infantry Division. He liberated Pilsen and Tepla and served as a mortar operator.

A poledním veteránem v dnešním dílu seriálu je Američan Richard Pieper, ročník 1924, z 19. pěší divize. Osvobozoval Plzeň a Teplou a sloužil jako obsluha minometu.
