Day 50 Halfway Evaluation

I have set myself a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and will be using this account as a personal diary blog to write down my daily progress.

Day 50 and I'm half way into my challenge which asks for a small evaluation.

So I started the challenge with the idea to completely take time off from "making money" and put my full focus on my health, personal development and social life. The last one was the overall main purpose since I do have quite some social issues I have to fix.

Positives

  • Eating habits: I have been transitioning into a whole food plant based diet for a while, but still had some periods of not really sticking to it before starting this challenge. These 50 days have been great when it comes down to really getting this down and I only cheated once (eating pre packed vegetable chips). Aside from that it I have just eaten fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, water, tea and oat milk. I was at 68kg when I started and am now at around 64kg and feeling great overall.

  • Working out: I know doing a daily work out is something that brings a lot of benefits and I am really getting this down to making this something that goes automatic, similar to my food. Going on a moring run really works for me and doing some daily exercises also requires little effort. This habit should slowly continue to build my body and gain me some healthy muscles and the benefits that come along with that.

  • No Fap: I did a 14 day nofap and learned that it actually far less difficult that I imangine. In the past when it came down to food, knowing I could do it if I wanted to was a reason to not do it as I did not fully understood all the benefits it would bring. I'm in a similar spot on the nofap. The main difficulty are the days when I have nothing to do really (similar to my food in the past). It is definately something I will continue to explore the next 50 days.

Still to be Improved

  • Work: I'm having a realy difficult time not to be occupied with making money since getting to a point where I'm financially independant is very strongly present in me. I did slow down my sports Betting and mainly focussed on my own league which is an improvement. Steemit has taken a huge amount of my time though. In a few weeks the football season is over and I will have one thing less on my mind for 2 months.

  • Social Efforts: While I did actually meet some new people, I'm still quite a while ago from where I want to be and still need a lot of improvements. I know that all I need to do is to make a simple change in belief and a way to click into that and I have not exposed myself enough to make that happen. This will be one of my main working points the next 50 days.

  • Vacation: I did go on a daytrip to the sea during my first 50 days which I highly enjoyed. Nothing else has been planned so far, but I intend to do at least something similar the next 50 days.

  • Meditation: This has been extremely hard to do to a point where I just want to give it up for now because it feels like the one thing that is just too much. I will probably pick it up one day when mant of the other aspects of my life are in place.

Conclusion


This 100 day challenge really works and made a big difference so far despite there still being a lot of working points for the next 50 days...

Challenge Failed 0 Reps

On Day 50 at the halfway point of my 50 day challenge, I took a day off and did not do at least 100 reps. I skipped on the moring run, but instead just went on an hour walk in the afternoon and only did a couple of exercises during the day.
