May 30 Days Writing Challenge – Day Nine: Where Do You See Steemit In 5 Years?

Now, how do I see Steemit in 5 years?
Steemit has started two years ago by @ned as the CEO. According to Steemians that were here from the beginning, STEEM has just a value of 1USD. And up to this writing STEEM value is at 4USD. Who would have thought back then that this coin will gain bigger value?
Just like the giant cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, they as well started at the bottom of the wheel. But with believers, the coin even stepped on USD20,000 value per piece. I even heard through a news channel that a man with a family of four sold his house in order to acquire BTC during the time when it is still under the mainstream. I guess that man is now a multi-billionaire.
Back to Steemit in 5 years. Most creators in this first blockchain-based social media platform started to earn some bucks for food and such. Including me, I joined Steemit because of the idea of earning… And since cryptocurrency is trending, I would not want to let the chance to earn new coin just like what I had with BTC when it is just around USD20 per piece.
But after starting my first post and reading others, it does totally change. I see Steemit now as an outlet. A stress reliever from my nine-to-five. As every content has a great offering to create wisdom in me. I meet people, great people, intelligent people, by that I feel intelligent as well. With every supports from different groups and people around the platform, every single Steemian will have a chance to grow. And that’s what I have experienced from @steemph, @steemitfamilyph, @promo-mentors, and some other groups that I didn’t even joined or barely chat with.
With this kind of groups that helps to develop and grow the platform through populating it, there is no doubt that Steemit will be one of the giant social media in five years from now, or even earlier.
As long as we are all creating awareness to everyone. Not all people yet to know that their everyday life on other social media can bring them some bacon and eggs. And every people holding a smartphone is a prospect to be one of us. And awareness is equal to population, and the population is equal to growth.
Especially now that @ned has exposed to the public already through bloomberg. We are now exposed to everyone in the world. And with more people nowadays that has knowledge of cryptos, surely some of them are now researching and creating an account on Steemit.
One of @ned’s answers to the interview is that other leading social media is now looking up to cryptocurrencies to continually grow their business. They are now looking at some coins to be integrated to their sites. Hey! @ned has already started that two years ago, and being first is a big chance of being the strongest. As long as the innovations are aligned and competitive.
With help from utopians in the platform, the innovations keep on flowing. Though there are some bugs that are needed to be fixed, they are now busy working under the hood.

But with these great minds from @utopian-io, condensers and app are mushrooming all around the community in order to better improve Steemit and the way we post our content. We have busy.org, I use busy in order to monitor the number of characters I am writing. Dlive for live streaming of our video, Dtube for uploading videos which are mostly used by Steemians who want to present their contents, and Zappl that can be used like tweeter.
And if you have some skills or service that can offer to Steemians, we have Steemgigs, where you can offer services and be paid.

So How do I see Steemit in 5 years? We will be flying to the moon. We may come up and down along the way but we will be successful. We will be BIG. That is if we will help to grow the platform that we trust. If other social media is now sourcing to use blockchain for their business, then it means we are ahead of the innovations that may exist.
@ned has already started exposing himself and Steemit to masses, with current million users around the globe, it is not possible that we can be as big or better than existing social media giants. In a unique way, with friendly and quality posts. Blog, story, photos, music, whatever you can offer, bring them on. And forget that rewardpool rape. Instead, have fun to share your thing and interact with the rest.
The Steem ecosystem has gone far, and it will still run as long as we are helping the community to be clean and welcoming to every new Steemians.
So let’s celebrate and be with Steemit for more than five years.
