Gentleness 温柔

Gentleness is a vital characteristic for both men and women.

Gentleness is related to behaviour. And when we address people politely using “Ladies and gentlemen”, in a way we associate gentleness with men. Indeed, women are generally being perceived as more gentle than men. And gentleness seems to be a rare nature of men. Hence, gentleness is a respected characteristic worthy to be inculcated in the life of people.

Gentleness is also associated with speech. We tend to characterise a person as gentle based on the way he or she talks to people. What would impress the people is usually a gentle speech rather than harsh words.

In view of the above, gentleness can be perceived as closely related to impressive behaviour and speech. Those who desire to be gentle must watch over their behaviour and speech.

温柔是男性和女性的重要品质。

温柔与行为有密切的关系。当我们礼貌地使用“绅士” (Gentleman) 稱呼人时，我们已经把温柔与男人放在一起。事实上，女性通常被认为比男性温柔。也因此温柔似乎是男人较为缺乏的性格。的确，温柔是值得在人们生活中加以灌输及要受到看重的品质。

温柔通常也与言语有关。我们倾向于根据一个人的交谈方式来描述他是否温柔。而且温柔的言论容易给人留下正面印象，而刺耳的言辞则较会造成负面影响。

根据上述情况，可见温柔是和令人有深刻印象的行为和言语有密切关系。所以，那些想要温柔的人必须注意他们的行为和言语。
