There are some important news that I would like to share with you, trying to report all the events related to the project during this week.

Due to problems in the house of Ruth's grandmother, she returned to her youngest son who now lives in the street with her mother and other children, if this environment is terribly hard for a teenager, imagine the great challenge for The survival of this infant is being on the street.

Her name is Denyerson, she is 3.5 months old and tomorrow she is 1 week old living in the streets with this group of children who take care of her to support her mother which is RUTH (interview G), a Although it has no apparent signs of skin diseases, except for inflammation in the scrotum and although it is apparently well at the respiratory level, for its age it is in obvious malnutrition, which is being treated in the best way possible , with the resources and conditions with which I count.

Despite my efforts to improve Ruth's diet, so that she, not only is well nourished for herself, also to breastfeed her son, this has been impossible to date given the rash and irritation that suffers in her nipples . Apart from a strong pain in her breasts that appears to be Mastitis. Which is already being treated with antibiotics.

Due to the problems of the mother to breastfeed and the consumption of antibiotics, momentarily the diet of Denyerson consists basically of bananas and compotes that she supplies to him daily, as well as papillas of fruits and milk.

In the photo below we can observe the feeding process of Denyerson, sofia which is one of the most responsible for it, first chews the banana, and then feed the child in a process similar to what the birds do with their offspring, this because the infant does not have teeth yet because of his young age.

There is another terrible news that the other members of the group have told me, apparently Luis was executed by two shots, one of them in the head by people who had not yet been identified. When I found out, a terrible sadness invaded me because I felt that the He was one of the most receptive with the project, possessor of a great personality, charisma and intelligence.

I really hope it's just a rumor, although some children claim to have seen the photograph of the corpse, I for one did not want to see it and I maintain the hope that it has only gone to another place far from here.

To learn more about the legal situation of these and other children in the same situation within the municipality Girardot, apart from collecting important data on the number of people in this situation and where they tend to be located, I decided to meet with the regional director of the C.M.D.N.N.A. (municipal council for the rights of children and adolescents), which received me very kindly with the surprise that I had already heard about the social work that I carry out thanks to "One Opportunity project". In his office he informed me about the precarious situation of shelters and shelters in the state, apart from his plans to build a new shelter, but in a mixed way that involves civil society, the state , to public and private entities, giving special attention of care and education to the children of the municipality Girardot.

Given the climate of hostility and political bias in the country, I decided not to take photos of this meeting held at her office located in Fundafamilia on Avenida Fuerzas aéreo, since she could misinterpret it as an act of bad intention, as if it were of the media, or as if it had political interests.

Photos taken in the form of a screenshot of the WhatsApp status of the CMDNNA coordinator.

On Monday, said agency carried out an operation to board street children who were in the areas surrounding the Aragua park shopping center, the children Daison, Jose, Alexis, Eduymar and Mileydi, were arrested, Daison and Alexis were taken to their cities of origin, Mariara and La Victoria, where they apparently located their parents.

Jose, Eduymar and Alexis, since there was no space to place them in a shelter, were taken to receive primary medical attention (where they discovered that Eduymar suffers from cancer) and then released back to the streets in Girardot until the present date.

Another important event that fills us with great joy and satisfaction is the delivery of 10 pairs of new shoes for 9 of these children (Ruth, Charon, Nathan, Jose, Eduymar, Efrain, Danilo, Rosa Maria, Mileydi x2).

This substantially improves the living conditions of these young people since they are now not so exposed to injuries or infections, together with regular sports activities, quality and constant food, medical assistance that every day poses new challenges, you start to see great improvements in the mood of all these young people. The levels of aggressiveness have decreased and they are even more motivated and open than at the beginning of this project, which has been running for 20 consecutive days.

It is also important to note that each child was given at least one piece of new or purchased second-hand clothes, new shirts, jeans, overalls and panties purchased at garage sale.

As well as combs, bath soaps and washing clothes, constant hands of cambur, chichas, casabe among other products.

Mileydi was given two pairs of shoes because she was a victim of the common hampa, without even having premiered them, those shoes were exchanged for a remaining pair.

Regarding the injuries of children:

  • Mileydi has already healed of the small cut on his knee.
  • Charon the cuts of the arms are already healing only one remains which with due attention should not go this week to heal.
  • Ruth spends part of the day with her shoes and leaves without them due to the two large cuts she has on both feet, however one is completely healed and the arm wound has slowed down because she is always hurt.

  • Cristian had a small cut between two toes, which was attended and an antifungal cream has been purchased because it has been aggravated by the presence of fungus on the feet.

  • Efrain presented a scratch on his leg which has been treated several times and will soon recover because it is superficial.
  • Jose presented a small cut on the foot, which after two days of care was cured.
  • Thanks to Sofia my cameraman on Thursday.

    Photo Gallery of this week.

(I apologize if the photographs are not as clear as possible where you can see each child separately, but I have decided not to pose or force situations, looking for my help to be as natural and spontaneous as possible, taking note that I go daily and most of them have naturalized the fact of the photographs at any time)

Two days of this week in order to vary the menu, I took pasta type bologna and pasta with vegetables, the rest of the days they took the usual arepas with other reinforcements mentioned above.

I make a special mention to a very nice activity carried out by @bigdude where shoes were given to small children in street situation, as well as support for my project by giving shoes to 3 of the children, Sofia, Sonia and Carlos. These actions show me the great human quality that hides behind all the projects carried out by this great team, where they seek to improve the living conditions in different communities of the Aragua State with great effort and love.

I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the activity carried out yesterday with @bigdude, God rewards their actions, destiny and families.

If you want to know more about this, do not hesitate to read his post.
