Meet the Kenosis Brothers: The Ones Given Second Chance of Life

Hello to all Fundition Readers and Steemians Alike!

Today I would like to attempt to share with you one of the centers we, the Daily Bread Food Bank Malaysia, has been supporting.

Meet Kenosis: Christian Based Rehab Centers
As any other developing countries around the world, as the society is struggling to climb the ladders of development, so was drug pandemic that has been equally blooming (no thanks to progress unfortunately) with the attempt to destroy the struggling society itself.

Although the situation is currently unavoidable, nevertheless, christian based rehab centers have been formed to reach out for those who are aware of the pandemic and stuck in this vicious cycle.

These men all had a story to tell, and their struggles are real. Right now what they can do is to improve their lives through this rehab and be an impact changer in the community again.

Our Food Bank currently provides whatever that is donated to us for them; including fresh produce like onions, potatoes plus other organic vegetables exchanged from other rehab centers. We are also very blessed that we have received some Jaccobs biscuits and even from CSR products like F&N and Kellogg's for an extra treat.

Last week we were blessed with a small box of Canned Potato chips and they were so happy to pick up some of them just to munch during TV entertainment.

We are happy to see some of them have become quite a chef for the center and whatever we can raise fund or awareness for more donations for them to have a decent second chance, we are happy to do so.

In closing of this post, I would like to share this verse that strikes my heart:

Lamentations 3:21-23 “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Indeed, there is always hope as long as one is still alive, and who are we to judge whether they should not have one?

Right now, we are just very thankful that every month, despite sometimes we hardly have anything left in our Food Bank, we still get last minute aids from corporate and kind donors passing by dropping off food and monetary aid for us to make a difference; one family at a time.
