Chess, a game I still cherish.

Amongst all the table games that have crossed my way since, Chess still has been the best.
Not to say that i haven't played any other table games before but still i still like chess because of its strategical planning and creativity.
Basically for chess the main aim is to protect your king as you hunt for your opponents king.
You may have a strong strategy to do this though, it involves capturing your opponents pieces which im most cases protect their king or may attack your king. Alot of planning and in most cases some theory is needed especially in big tournaments with alot of experienced players.
A repertoire for this people comes so accurate that any mis step your are likey to lose a strong position or even lose a game altogether.
Speaking of theory, there are lots and lots of chess books with written repertoires that have lived for decades and decades until now.
From the opening books, tactics, end games and so on. Chess can be even more interesting with a mixture of creativity.

Here in Uganda, have we been part of many tournaments when promoting steemit

So here, just like in so many places around the world, we do have tournaments like the national league, the inter university tournaments, memorial tournaments and so on.

Some three lessons I learnt from playing chess
Strategic Planning
Yes, planning.
We have a limited time to plan and execute all the attacks to win the game. The strategy must be just better than the opponent's and in this case you are more likely to win the game.
Planning strong moves and executing them before time runs out.

Patience
We can't afford to lose the game in just three minutes of starting just because we are not patient enough. Sometimes we just have to make our best move and sit back and wait

Making up for our mistakes
Not to freak out incase we make a very big mistake in life, for as long as the game still goes on, we can always be stronger enough to make up for our mistakes.
We can't afford to give up after a few blunders, when we through in more right moves, we are likely to recover again and play a much better game and even win.

Among those there are many benefits of chess or even alot of stuff most people learn from chess.
Chess is a game i would love to play with my friends let's say on those good free days.

Thanks.
As always
