Chibera, the World Tree's call
Early in the morning, as the fog rises from the grasses around the World Tree, the world is silent. Squirrels snoring softly fall into an easier, silent sleep. The doe and her fawns creeping from the cover of the forest beyond into the glen outside the ring of tents pause; she has one hoof in the air, the fawns, looking at her hold their breaths.
It begins like a breeze, a gentle rustling of leaves. Limbs sway, boughs bend low. And then...
Every creature feels the hum. It isn't loud. It doesn't hurt. It cannot be ignored. A few moments when the whole world feels the hum of the World Tree calling them.
Why does it call? What does it mean?
Some say that the whole world and all the things on it are the World Tree, and this hum is not the World Tree humming, but rather the world humming.
Some say the World Tree is dying, and is calling out for its children to save it, or simply is crying in pain.
Some say this is the sound of manna as it eases into the world.
Some say there are thousands of souls trapped in the World Tree shrieking for release.
Some say it's just the way things are.
There are as many ideas about the World Tree as there are leaves on the World Tree. Some things are true. The town that has grown around the World Tree can set their clocks by this hum, and they have. Every day, the hum lasts imperceptibly longer than the last. Every child and dog can hear the hum before the adults.
The World Tree sings, it calls, it hums...

Oh boy isn't this fun! I like this idea, and if not this one, then the general idea of mysterious properties/happenings with the world tree.
Right?! And this one would be pretty simple to implement.
