Shelter from Chicago’s freezing winters often comes by taking the subway rather than walking the empty streets above.
With windchills the weather can be brutal and the subway makes for a dirty yet hospitable place.
Taken in black and white to add more of an effect and to showcase the lights of the oncoming train.
Winters in Chichago. i can't imagine very freezing there.

How do the police handle people sleeping in the subway? In NYC it depends on the cop on duty. Sometimes there's initiatives where they force homeless people to go to shelters.
