There where some chocolate bars on sale yesterday so I thought let's make some peunut rocks and some other kind of chocolate rocks.

I made the good old peanut rocks with milk chocolate, some walnut cranberry and cherry rocks (photo) and last but not least salted nut mix white chocolate rocks.

These are so easy to make but oh so tasty.

I will start with a simple manner to temper your chocolate in the microwave, so no need for a stone tablet some scrapers. Putt all your chopped chocolate in a plastic bowl that can be put in the microwave, glass or ceramics will absorb to much heat.
Put your bowl in the microwave at 800 for 15 seconds. Get the bowl and give the chocolate a good stir to get the heat good trough and trough. Back in the microwave for 15 seconds followed by a good stir.
Keep repeating this until the chocolate starts to melt then reduce the microwave time to 10 seconds per heating session still followed by a good stir.
When there are just a few chunks left in the melted chocolate keep It out of the microwave and just keep stirring it until it's a nice fluid mass of chocolate. Tada you have a bowl of tempered chocolate.
Now you can mix in all the ingredients you like in your chocolate rocks like peanuts or nuts, dried fruits, marshmallows or whatever you like with chocolate.
Now use two spoons and make small rocks on some baking paper.Put in the fridge for a bit and you are ready for tasting your home made rocks.
