The Importance Of Keeping It Pure

A friend once shared the genealogy of Jesus for all of us at a Monday night Bible study. His name was Bill Boots and he was a devoted Christian and a learned man of the Holy Bible. He has since gone to be with the Lord. However, I wish to pass these notes on to other that it may be resourceful in your study. It is amazing how the scriptures document his heritage. it tells me not only how important His is, but perhaps how serious we should consider your partner's spiritual heritage when choosing spouse. Following Adam and Eve God bypasses Cain and Abel and chooses Seth for Jesus's family line.

A Pure Heritage

The purity of Christ's heritage was important to God and to us. That parallels with his spiritual purity as being the perfect lamb. What a sacred gift he gave us. You will find more charting of the heritage of his ancestry. The document below goes into the children of Abraham and Jacob as well as the siblings of Jesus as seen below. It fascinates me how God chose the folks he did to be the bloodline and legal line of Christ. Please excuse the poor photocopy as it was folded from years ago and has wear on it.
