Tomorrow

My aunt told me a story about her friend sometime ago. She had a friend who was a vegetarian. She became a vegetarian when she was much older. She came to visit my aunt one Sunday and she was eating fufu, a Ghanaian delicacy with light soup and goat meat. She was tempted to eat and even said that, but she wouldn't touch the food even if they will give her without the meat, because she will taste meat in the soup. She went on to talk about all the benefits of being a vegetarian and about living a health lifestyle for a prolonged life.

They had their talks, the reason she came to visit my aunt after my aunt was done eating and she left for the house. The next day, my aunt received a call from her friend's husband that the lady had passed on. She was feeling fine when she came to visit and they don't know what could have happened. Someone who seemed to be in perfect conditions was just gone without notice. She's dead.

Apparently, she had come to discuss some business with y aunt and plans had been made on what they both will be doing the next day. She had believed she would see the next day and had made plans for it. Something most of us do everyday and take it for granted. The business ended before it could even begin in less than 24 hours. Her life had come to an abrupt end.

Live life like it's borrowed and you have no idea what the repayment date is. Just knowing you could be asked to repay any day will keep you on your toes. If you know tomorrow isn't yours, you will make the best of it. Don't misuse today. Enjoy time with your family and friends. Do things you love. Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability because it might be your last.
