The Healing Power of the Spirit

Reflection from the book of Acts continues

Today we look at Acts 5:12-16

Word of Today:

The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed. vs 16.

Peter and John alongside all the disciples continued to faithfully witness and heal the sick. They committed themselves so much to Christ that Peters shadow could heal the sick. Not only that, the Apostles were able to help more people trust Christ for salvation.

The sick, those afflicted with unclean spirits were all healed. Peters healings were genuine- all these could only be achieved through the Holy Spirit.

Are such amazing works of genuine signs and wonders still present in our generation?

The Apostles were committed to Jesus Christ of Nazareth that is why they continually did wonders.

How committed am I in the things of the Lord? How committed am I in allowing the Spirit to work mightily in me?

Instead of explaining away miracles, you and I need to seek God afresh, to release His healing presence among us. When this happens then Gods power will be made evident in our lives.

Are you willing to seek the Lord until he releases His healing presence among us?

Prayer:
Lord, help me to be more committed to you and help our Church leaders to depend on the Holy Spirit, so that your power will be made evident in our midst.
