Doers Of His Word
Matthew 7:24-25 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
The word of God profits doers, not just hearers. In the words of Christ today, we have an eternal reward when we become doers of His word. This statement was made after series of His preaching of repentance and the kingdom. It's expedient to note that the gospel is a bundle of benefits, not just now but till eternity. Are you a doer of the gospel? Doers of God's word are liken to a house built on a rock. This rock symbolizes Christ the rock of ages. The implication of this is that the storms of life can't sweep away anyone that is a doer of the gospel. It's a fact that storms will arise, but it shall have no effect when we are rooted in Christ Jesus.
Are you beaten by storms right now? Are you experiencing storms of afflictions, false accusations, financial crisis, betrayal, humiliation or sickness? Hold on to the gospel. Don't led go of the gospel in you. Go on and exercise the truth of God's word and you shall never be ashamed.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your word in us. Please help us to hold on to your principles, irrespective of the storms, in Jesus name. Amen.
