Children and their service to God
PixabayToday was Sunday and not just any Sunday. It is one of the Sundays we call a day before the Lord wherein the Christians all assemble together in a day we dedicate to the Lord and really have an awesome time as one family. It was also our thanksgiving service. There were a good number of activities involved but the one that really touched me most was that of the young Children of our Sunday School.
They Children performed a game they titled MySword bible. Their teachers quoted biblical scriptures and they kids were required to open to the quoted passage in the shortest possible time and whoever got there first read it and was declared the winner. They did this over and over until there was only one Child standing and it was a little girl who was always first winner of the elimination rounds.
PixabayI was so amazed at how quick these kids could locate scriptures in their bible. They even beat me in opening to some of the quoted scriptures and it was a big blow to me. They actually challenged me to be more acquainted with my bible. The Children also acted a drama of a pastor who had a stubborn Son who was wayward. This said Son was also a leader of a gang of thieves. His parents have tried all they could to change him but he will not listen. He was later shot by the police in one of their operations. The message the kids were trying to pass was that some parents think that because they are saved, their salvation covers their kids.
This is a wrong ideology because salvation is personal and their message was one of warning to all to repent and come to Jesus. It was a great act from the kids and they were hilarious. I really enjoyed their act and actually learned a lot from their drama. I could not help it but be proud of these kids and congratulate them for a Job well done.
It is always a beautiful sight to see young Children offering service to God their Father and the Joy I see in their faces makes me very delighted and happy. I can only imagine how Jesus Christ feels and the smile it brings to his face when he sees young ones like this offering services to him. It is such a wonderful thing and all he can do is bless them.
No wonder he said no one should forbid these young ones from coming to him.
