What Matters Most
When was the last time you had a good conversation with your loved one? Probably a short conversation with your son about work, a brief "how are you doing in school" with your daughter, a mere playful time your little one, or a short talk over the phone with your mom or dad. Sometimes, we forget the most important things because we are too busy with the things we think can satisfy us the most with our time. We are too consumed by our work or the things that consume our time that we tend to forget our priorities. And when the time comes that we needed to rearrange our lives, that moment we want to to enjoy with our loved ones is already lost. Balancing life is hard, we all have our own role to make, being a parent and an employee at the same time is hard, but we need to make it work. Yes, there are pressures at work, an unreasonable boss maybe, or trying to be a mom or a dad when coming home from work. But that's how life is. It's a matter of priorities. We can make the most of our time with the things that truly matters.

Rearranging our lives and setting our priorities is never easy especially when we are already used to the things that we do. But when we seek God with a humble heart, He will help us. Let us focus on the things that truly matter in life because we cannot bring back the time that is lost. Not until we set our priorities can we live with peace and a joyful heart. Leave the things that cause you to slow down and begin to work out what truly matters.
