WALKING IN THE LIGHT EVEN AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT

There is nothing impossible for God, correct? The Lord is able to do all things, correct? While the answers to these is a resounding yes, there are conditionalities somewhat attached to the fulfillment of the Word in our lives. We’ve always assumed that Jesus got 100% results in all He did. While we may desperately want to attribute such to Him being God, it isn’t exactly the whole truth. Why? It is dependent on faith (walking in the spirit), that is, the response of the human spirit to the promptings and Word of God.
Matt 13:54-58, details a thought provoking account of Jesus in His home country. He taught the people there, so much that they were ‘irritated’ by His wisdom and consequently downplayed His message with somewhat condescending statements. When it was time to bring succor to the oppressed in His home town, through the power of God, the Bible makes this statement, “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief”. Another versions says ‘So he did not do many miracles there because ·they had no faith [of their unbelief]” He didn’t? Why didn’t he? The people’s unbelief “short-circuited” “being in darkness and refusing light from God” the limitless power of God! While it is true that all things are possible to God, without your vital faith, you will inadvertently hinder God’s power!
In Gen 1:17 “And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth”. If you can receive this, God has set, positioned, deposited, appointed, ensured your permanent place in the heavens to give light upon the eart, what about that true light which he has shined in our hearts even his Holy Spirit. You are that greater light if you walk by the spirit, walk as one with Christ and his body the church. Beam forth excellence in all you do, for His great namesake!
