Accessing The Power Of God
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
Power is the ability to cause change! Nothing in life brings change like the word of God . The word of God is the power of God. An encounter with the word is divine engagement with power. Nothing on earth is more powerful than the word of God. Without the word, you cannot access the power of God. When you have the word of God , you will have the power of God. "And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come," (Hebrews 6:5 KJV).
Look at that scripture again. The word of God is very good, you cannot taste it and not feel the goodness of God. When you taste the good word of God, you encounter the power of the world to come.That is talking of access to the power of the kingdom which is what created the earth and the heavens. With this power, you will have the windows of heaven open and the dew or the shower of His presence will rub off on you.
Start eating the word of God and you will experience the power of this heavenly meal. Every power is a function of eating. The more food you eat, the more powerful you become. Daily feeding on the word is daily empowerment by the word! Even Jesus said the word of God is the power of God, "And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?" (Mark 12:24 KJV).
Knowledge is power! The knowledge of the scripture gives you access to the supernatural power of God. Your level of the word is your level of power! No man can be bigger than what he knows. You require the power of God to move from where you are and without the word of God there cannot be power for change. Every word of God in your mouth is an effective weapon of change. Speak the word with power of the Holy Ghost and you will be able to effect changes in your world. "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." (1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV).
Finally, in order to enjoy the power of God"s word, you must stop speaking mere words of human wisdom. Instead, speak the word of God at all times. As you keep studying and meditating on the word of God, you will increase in the spirit of power and glory because the changes you expect must take place before this year ends.

No, simply knowing the word of God won't give you power. It won't lead to health, prosperity, power, influence, or greater respect from your peers. When I see posts like this why don't I see someone who wants this power to help other people?

You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. {3} When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. {4} You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
